Ball Corporation collects and recycles over 300,000 cans in partnership with cricketing legend Virat Kohli
Sustainable manufacturer Ball Corporation has collected and recycled more than 300,000 cans of the O’cean Sustainable Energy drink.
The initiative is part of a long-standing partnership with Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli and O’cean Beverages which aims to highlight the infinite recyclability of aluminium.
For every O’cean can purchased, Ball will collect one and recycle one which can then be repackaged into a brand-new can.
With increasing demand for more sustainable choices by the public, Ball is working with several sports leaders and brands who have embraced this rapid shift to more environmentally responsible consumption.
The partnership has been shared by Virat Kohli via his social media pages to his millions of followers around the world. His latest video on Instagram has more than 20 million views.
Aluminium cans are currently the world’s most widely recycled beverage packaging, with a UK recycling rate of 82 percent and a European recycling rate of 76 percent.
Manish Joshi, Director for Sales & Marketing at Ball India, said: “Our goal has been to reduce waste and to highlight the benefits of choosing infinitely recyclable aluminium beverage packaging.
