Asked to bat, Mumbai managed just 123 for nine, in response, Delhi chased target with 33 balls to spare to climb to the top of table.
Mumbai Indians had a decent start with the bat, with Hayley Matthews (22:25b, 4x4) and Yastika Bhatia (11:10b, 1x4, 1x6) adding 35 runs for the opening stand. However, after that, nothing went their way as they kept losing wickets in quick intervals. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (22:16b, 2x4, 1x6) had a start but she couldn't carry on. The rest of the batters failed to go past the 20-run mark as Mumbai managed just 123 for nine.
Delhi Capitals, in the chase, came out all guns blazing with Shafali Verma (43:28b, 4x4, 3x6) and skipper Meg Lanning (60 not out:49b, 9x4) adding 85 runs for the opening wicket. Jemimah Rodrigues, at three, also played a vital hand as Delhi chased the target with nine wickets in hand.
