Asked to bat, Gujarat got all out for just 120, which Mumbai chased with almost four overs to spare.

It was a worst possible start with the bat for Gujarat Giants as Mumbai Indians bowlers were all over the batters. The Ashleigh Gardner-led side was left tottering at 43 for five. With the team under pressure, Harleen Deol (32:31b, 4x4) and Kashvee Gautam (20:15b, 2x4, 1x6) played vital hands that brought the team back into the game.

Decent contributions from Tanuja Kanwar and Sayali Satghare powered Gujarat to the total of 120. For Mumbai, Hayley Matthews was the pick of the bowlers with figures of three for 16.

Chasing the target, Mumbai Indians were off to a decent start, with Hayley Matthews and Yastika Bhatia adding 22 runs for an opening partnership. But both the batters lost their wickets in quick succession along with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

However, Nat Sciver-Brunt (57:39b, 11x4) slammed a brilliant half-century and, along with Amelia Kerr (19:20b, 1x4, 1x6), added 45 runs for the fourth wicket to take the team close to the target. Although, Mumbai lost a few wickets but they comfortably chased the target with five wickets.
