In what was a strange match of cricket with lots of chances that just missed and long delays for a variety of reasons, the Renegades made the most of those chances to win by six wickets.
The Strikers lost the toss and were sent into bat before having a slow start on a lively deck, being 2-49 at the halfway point.
After drinks, the Strikers took the Power Surge straight away and Alex Carey made the most of it, hitting 17 off the first over on his way to a well-made 65.
A flurry of wickets were lost after the surge, however Harry Nielsen helped the Strikers to a defendable total, taking 17 off the final over to reach 7-142.
It was an eventful start to the bowling innings, with the Strikers getting a wicket in each of the first three overs to have the Renegades 3-20.
After the powerplay, Aaron Finch and Matthew Critchley developed a good partnership to get the Renegades back in control, only a runout breaking the partnership.
Renegades skipper Finch went on to make a half-century and guided the Renegades home in the 19th over with six wickets spare.
The loss marks the end of the Strikers BBL|12 season, with them now unable to make the finals beginning on Friday.
