The Scorchers clearly had a strong intention from the beginning, as evidenced by their massive total on the board, which was the best start of the season for any team during the power play.
Cameron Bancroft and Stephen Eskinazi shone for the home team, with Bancroft remaining at the plate until the end and Eskinazi providing a strong start.
David Moody was unlucky to be removed from the attack after bowling two beamers, which greatly impacted the Renegades' bowling options.
The bowlers' delivery lengths were far too predictable.. Additionally, their execution of planned deliveries was also not at its best. The spin was challenging later on, but it was still taken apart on both sides of the wicket.
The Melbourne Renegades had a strong beginning and ending, but struggled during the middle part of the chase, losing control of the game.
Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch, both making their comeback, contributed with two impressive half-centuries, but their efforts were not enough as the target to chase was too high from the start.
