England Form Guide:

England are currently placed at the third position on Group 1 points table with 1 win to their name in Super 12's so far.

The top run scorer for England is Dawid Malan with 53 runs to his name.

The top wicket taker for England is Sam Curran with 7 scalps under his belt.

The previous match that England were supposed to play against Australia was washed off due to rain. However, in a match before that, England were beaten by Ireland a rain affected affair by 5 runs (DLS method).

Ireland batted first and posted a total of 157 before being bowled out in the 20th over. Andy Balbirnie at the top of the order made 62 in just 47 deliveries. He laid the foundation for a decent total. Lorcan Tucker also played well for his knock of 34 runs in 27 balls. The lower order couldn't really capitalise on the start they got and Ireland were bowled out for 157.

During the chase, England lost both their openers for 14 runs. Ben Stokes was the next one to follow and England looked in all sorts of bother. Dawid Malan played a sedate knock of 35 in 37 balls but his innings didn't leave a big impact in the match. Moeen Ali hit the ball well and smashed a couple of boundaries to reach 24 off 12 balls when the rain arrived. The match couldn't restart again and Ireland were declared winners by 5 runs (DLS method).

New Zealand Form Guide:

New Zealand are currently placed at the first position of Group 1 points table with 2 wins to their credit.

The top run maker for New Zealand in the tournament is Glenn Phillips with 116 runs to his name.

The top wicket taker for New Zealand in the tournament is Trent Boult with 6 scalps under his belt.

New Zealand won their previous match against Sri Lanka by 65 runs.

New Zealand batted first and they posted a total of 167 for 7 in 20 overs. The start wasn't ideal for them, as New Zealand lost 3 wickets for just 15 runs. When the pressure was too much, Glenn Phillips came to the crease and started playing a counter-attacking innings. He played sensibly and converted the ones into twos with brilliant running between the wickets. He smashed 104 runs in 64 balls to help New Zealand cross the 160 run mark and reach a competitive total of 167 in 20 overs of play.

During the chase, Sri Lanka were in tatters at the start. They had lost 4 wickets for just 8 runs and were on a brink of defeat. Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasun Shanaka played well and tried their best to revive the innings with knocks of 34 and 35 runs respectively. However, a lack of support from other batters meant that Sri Lanka were bowled out for 102 in the 20th over, losing the match by 65 runs.
