Points Table

Ireland Form Guide:

Ireland are currently placed at the third position on Group 1 points table with 1 win to their name in Super 12's so far.

The top run scorer for Ireland is Paul Stirling with 122 runs to his name.

The top wicket taker for Ireland is Josh Little with 6 scalps under his belt.

The previous match Ireland were supposed to play against Afghanistan was washed off. However, in a match before that, Ireland defeated England by 5 runs (DLS method).

Ireland batted first and posted a total of 157 before being bowled out in the 20th over. Andy Balbirnie at the top of the order made 62 in just 47 deliveries. He laid the foundation for a decent total. Lorcan Tucker also played well for his knock of 34 runs in 27 balls. The lower order couldn't really capitalise on the start they got and Ireland were bowled out for 157.

During the chase, England lost both their openers for 14 runs. Ben Stokes was the next one to follow and England looked in all sorts of bother. Dawid Malan played a sedate knock of 35 in 37 balls but his innings didn't leave a big impact in the match. Moeen Ali hit the ball well and smashed a couple of boundaries to reach 24 off 12 balls when the rain arrived. The match couldn't restart again and Ireland were declared winners by 5 runs (DLS method).

Australia Form Guide:

Australia are currently placed at the fourth position of Group 1 points table with 1 win to their credit.

The top run maker for Australia in the tournament is Marcus Stoinis with 66 runs to his name.

The top wicket taker for Australia in the tournament is Josh Hazlewood with 3 scalps under his belt.

The previous match Australia were supposed to play against England was washed off due to rain. However, in a match before that, Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets.

Sri Lanka batted first and they posted a competitive total of 157 for 6 in 20 overs. The start was not ideal for Sri Lanka as the first wicket fell for just 6 runs. Pathum Nissanka and Dhananjaya de Silva revived the innings with their knocks of 40 and 26 runs respectively. A real game changing knock was played by Charith Asalanka who smashed 38 in 25 balls to take Sri Lanka past the 150 run mark and helping his team finish at 157 in 20 overs of play.

During the chase, Australia lost David Warner early on and as a result, Australia went through a sedate start. After Maxwell's wicket in the 13th over, Sri Lanka were on top. This is where Marcus Stoinis came to the crease and changed the course of the game with his six hitting ability. He smashed 59 not out in 18 balls to take Australia home in the 17th over with 7 wickets in hand.
