During the chase, Australia lost David Warner early on and as a result, Australia went through a sedate start. After Maxwell's wicket in the 13th over, Sri Lanka were on top. This is where Marcus Stoinis came to the crease and changed the course of the game with his six hitting ability. He smashed 59 not out in 18 balls to take Australia home in the 17th over with 7 wickets in hand.
