- BBL|12 leading wicket-taker Henry Thornton was rested for the game, replaced in the XI by Harry Conway.

- Hurricanes' openers Caleb Jewell (54 from 28) and Ben McDermott (53 from 33) were the stars the with the bat for the home side, answering every question asked of them to set up victory.

- Chris Lynn showcased his devastating power in the first innings, smashing nine fours and a trio of maximums on his way to 87 from just 58 balls, his highest score as a Striker and enough to claim the BKT Golden Cap as League leading run scorer.

- The Strikers lost opener Henry Hunt early, a wicket which brought Lynn to the middle in tandem with Matt Short.

- The pair put on 72 together from the 50 deliveries they faced before New Zealand international Colin de Grandhomme chipped in with of 30 from 18.

- Despite the loss, it was a vintage performance from the most prolific batter in BBL history, with Lynn helping the Strikers set a total of 6-177, a sum that would ultimately prove too few to depart Tasmania in triumph.

- In response, Jewell and McDermott were brilliant at the top of the order in an 86-run partnership that emphatically set the tone.

- Ageless veteran and Strikers' skipper Peter Siddle looked to turn the momentum his side’s way, knocking over Jewell with a perfect yorker.

- Wickets to Wes Agar and Rashid Khan looked to have Adelaide back in the game, but D’Arcy Short 27* (22)  and Tim David 27* (13) had other ideas, guiding their side to victory with 16 balls to spare.
