Women's Big Bash League 2022 - Squads, Fixtures and All you need to know

The 8th edition of Women's Big Bash League is commencing on the 13th of October with Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers locking horns against one another.

A total of 56 matches will be played during the competition. WBBL 2022 will be played in a double round robin format with each team facing the other two times in the group stages. The top 4 teams will be competing against each other in the playoffs.

There are 8 teams participating in the competition namely Melbourne Stars Women, Melbourne Renegades Women, Sydney Sixers Women, Adelaide Strikers Women, Brisbane Heat Women, Sydney Thunder Women, Hobart Hurricanes Women and Perth Scorchers.

Perth Scorchers won the previous edition of WBBL by defeating Adelaide Strikers in the Final of the tournament.

Beth Mooney was the top run scorer for Perth Scorchers in the previous edition of WBBL. She amassed 547 runs in 14 matches at an average of 49.72 and a strike rate of 128.70.

Amanda Jade Wellington was the top wicket taker in the previous edition of WBBL as she picked up 23 wickets in 17 matches at an average of 16.26 and an economy of 6.56.
