Sydney Thunder won the toss & elected to field and what followed was an impressive display of batting by the Heat, despite the early loss of Josh Brown.
Labuschagne and Khawaja played cautiously before Khawaja got going hitting 94 (55) and Labuschagne 73 (48).
Brisbane Heat had only scored 64 runs by the 10th over. However, after the drinks break, Khawaja suddenly increased the scoring rate before being out six runs short of a century and then Matt Renshaw hit an 8-ball 24 and Labuschagne finished the game with powerful hits in the final over.
