Despite a difficult beginning, with Luke Wood giving up 20 runs in the first over and Matt Short hitting a big shot, the Melbourne Stars and Beau Webster put forth a strong effort in the field.
Liam Hatcher and the Melbourne Stars' defense kept taking wickets consistently and didn't let any batter get away.
Adam Hose and Harry Nielsen tried to rebuild the innings but the boundaries never came and Coulter-Nile further dented the Strikers with two wickets in two balls.
Webster had a fantastic day in the field, taking a flying catch and then running out Siddle to end the opposing team's innings. Adelaide Strikers headed in all out for 108.
It didn't take much as Joe Clarke (35) and Thomas Fraser Rogers (51*) batted Melbourne Stars to a nine wicket win.
