Match Previews: The Hundred 2022 Wednesday August 31st - Northern Superchargers vs Southern Brave
Here are the Match Previews for The Men’s and Women’s Hundred 2022 Wednesday August 31st - Northern Superchargers v Southern Brave
Southern Brave Men, inaugural winners of The Hundred in 2021, hope to end a patchy 2022 season with victory over Northern Superchargers on Wednesday.
Neither of these teams can make the end-of-season playoffs, having each suffered four defeats in their first seven games, but there will be plenty of talent on show at Headingley and the Superchargers are 6/5 to claim a first home win of the season.

Superchargers hope to avoid more Headingley heartache
Home advantage has not paid off for Northern Superchargers this season and Southern Brave are 4/6 to inflict a fourth-straight Headingley defeat on the stuttering Superchargers.
Trent Rockets and London Spirit coasted to comfortable seven-wicket wins over their hosts in this summer's first two games in Leeds and last time out Manchester Originals racked up a record total of 208-5 on their way to a 23-run victory.
The Superchargers are 6/5 to get a home win on the board at the fourth time of asking and they should have a spring in their step after a comprehensive six-wicket triumph at bottom club Welsh Fire last time out.
Opener Adam Lyth was the Match Hero in Cardiff, cracking 47 off 34 balls, and the Brave bowlers will be desperate to get rid of him early.
The experienced Yorkshire left-hander has been dismissed for a duck twice in this season's Hundred but in his other five innings he has scored 279 runs, hitting 19 sixes, and he is 3/1 to be the Superchargers' top batter in their season finale.
While Lyth has cleared the ropes regularly this season, his side's bowlers have struggled to keep visiting batsmen quiet at Headingley, conceding 30 sixes in three home matches in The Hundred.
Southern Brave are 5/4 to hit more sixes than their 5/6 hosts and Brave middle-order batter Tim David, who slammed 19 not out off just six balls against Trent Rockets last time out, is 6/1 to strike the most maximums in the match.
Brave all-rounder Stirling could be a value bet
Injuries to England fast bowlers Chris Jordan and Tymal Mills have hampered Southern Brave's defence of their Hundred crown, but James Vince's side restored some pride with victories over Welsh Fire and trophy contenders Trent Rockets in their last two outings.
James Fuller, a T20 Blast winner with Vince's Hampshire earlier in the summer, and 41-year-old Australian veteran Michael Hogan are their leading wicket-takers with seven scalps apiece, although George Garton showed his destructive potential in the win over the Fire.
The left-armer, who made his England T20 debut against the West Indies in January, took three wickets in the first seven balls of the innings in Cardiff and is 10/3 to be the Brave's top bowler in their final game of the term.
Paul Stirling has made a big impact since arriving after a busy international summer with Ireland and he is 8/1 to be the Match Hero.
Stirling cracked 74 not out off just 42 balls in the win over the Fire and, while he bagged a five-ball duck against the Rockets last time out, he also took the key wicket of Alex Hales and conceded just 10 runs from 15 balls of canny off-spin.

Odds Northern Superchargers Women 2/1, Southern Brave Women 2/5
The team who finishes top of the league table goes straight into The Hundred final on Saturday and Southern Brave Women are 2/5 to seal their place at Lord's with a victory over Northern Superchargers at Headingley.
The Brave have been a class apart in the women's Hundred this year, winning all five of their matches, and only Oval Invincibles, with four victories out of five, can pip them to top spot.
The leaders have held their nerve in some tight contests, winning their second, third and fourth games by 12, nine and 14 runs, but their most recent match was as one-sided as it gets.
After restricting Trent Rockets to just 88-8 from their 100 balls, the Brave raced to a 10-wicket win with 44 balls remaining thanks to India international Smriti Mandhana's classy 57 not out.
Mandhana is 13/5 to be Southern Brave's top batter on Wednesday, having scored 178 runs in five innings at a superb strike-rate of 171, but her opening partner Danni Wyatt is also in fine form, amassing 162 runs this season.
Australia leg-spinner Amanda-Jane Wellington is the leading wicket-taker for the Brave although nine of her 11 scalps have come in home matches at the Rose Bowl and fast bowler Lauren Bell, who took 4-10 from 20 balls against the Rockets, is worth considering at 3/1 to be the visitors' top bowler.
Northern Superchargers Women are 2/1 to end the Brave's winning run but they have taken just four points from five games despite some excellent performances from South Africa batter Laura Wolvaardt.
She has made 49, 24 not out, 32, 90 not out and 41 in her five Hundred innings and is 12/5 to be the Superchargers' top batter and 4/6 to score over 19.5 runs.
