Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by three wickets in a thrilling encounter in the 24th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Wednesday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Asked to bat, Rajasthan posted a total of 196 for three, in response Gujarat pulled off an incredible chase.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (24:19b, 5x4) played a vital hand for his team at the top but Rajasthan were soon two down for 42. With the team under pressure, skipper Sanju Samson (68 not out: 38b, 7x4, 2x6) and Riyan Parag (76:48b, 3x4, 5x6) joined hands and bailed the team out of trouble. They added 130 runs for the third wicket and based on that Rajasthan posted a total of 196 for three on the board. For Gujarat, Rashid Khan (one for 18) was the pick of the bowlers.

Gujarat were off to a good start with the bat. Sai Sudharsan (35:29b, 3x4, 1x6) and Shubman Gill (72:44b, 6x4, 2x6) added 64 runs for the opening wicket. After the opening stand, Gujarat came under immense pressure and lost wickets at regular intervals of the game. With the team reeling at 133 for five, Rahul Tewatia (22:11b, 4x4) and Rashid Khan (24 not out:11b, 4x4) in the end oozed their class with bat and took their team home.
