During the chase, Nepal started very strongly. Bhurtel scored 13 while Aasif Sheikh made 43 runs to instill hopes for a successful chase. Anil Sah also made a very healthy contribution and scored 27 off 24 balls. Nepal almost got over the line but they fumbled in the last 2 balls, with 1 run needed. They failed to score that one run and lost the match by a single run.
