The highly awaited latest edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is commencing on the 19th of February with the hosts Pakistan squaring off against New Zealand in the Inaugural Match in Karachi.

The Final Match of the tournament will take place on the 9th of March. Pakistan are hosting the tournament but India will play all of its matches in Dubai. Hence, the venue for the Final isn't fixed yet. It depends if India make it to Finals, the venue will be Dubai and if they don't, the venue will be Lahore.

The top 7 teams from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 (50 overs) have qualified for the Champions Trophy including the hosts. The teams that are taking part are, Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan.

The teams have been divided into two groups of 4 sides each.

Group A - New Zealand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan

Group B - England, Afghanistan, Australia and South Africa

All of the teams will play against other 3 teams in their group in 3 games. The 2 teams that top a certain group will proceed for the Semi Finals. The winner of the Semi Finals will go on to play the Final on the 9th of March, 2025.

A few big names are missing out on the ICC Champions Trophy including Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Anrich Nortje and Jacob Bethell. However, most of the sides have picked out a strong squad for the competition.

A few of the players like MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, David Warner and Aaron Finch who took part in last edition have retired out.

Here is a list of the winners of all Champions Trophy Editions since it's inception:
