Namibia batted first and they posted a total of 163 for 7 in 20 overs. The openers lost their wickets early on in the innings. Stephan Baard and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton rebuilt the innings post that phase. Gerhard Erasmus in the middle order also scored important 20 runs. A real game changing knock was played by Jan Frylinck, who scored 44 runs in 28 balls to take Namibia to a respectable total of 163 in 20 overs.

During the chase, Sri Lanka got off to a terrible start and they lost 4 wickets for just 40 runs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasun Shanaka gave some hope to their team with knocks of 20 and 29 runs respectively but once they got out, Sri Lanka fell like a pack of cards and were bowled out for 108, losing the match by 55 runs.

UAE lost their previous match against Netherlands by 3 wickets.

However, he failed to find support at the other end as wickets kept falling in regular succession. The middle order simply failed terribly and UAE were restricted to a low total of 111 in 20 overs.

During the chase, Max O'Dowd and Vikramjit Singh started off very well and they scored 23 and 10 runs respectively. The middle order also lost wickets when it mattered the most and at one point, Netherlands were struggling at 76 for 6 in the 14th over. Tim Pringle played a decisive knock of 15 in the late order to rescue Netherlands and take them home in the 20th over with 3 wickets in hand.
