Asia Cup Super 4s Pakistan vs India: Rain halts play and match will resume tomorrow (Monday)

Round two of the India vs Pakistan game in Asia Cup 2023 took place at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Rohit Sharma-led side were put into bat and they posted runs 147 for two before rain played spoilsport. The game will be resumed on Monday now.

Rohit Sharma (56:49b, 6x4, 4x4) and Shubman Gill (58:52b, 10x4) looked a class apart this time after having a horrendous outing in the first clash against Pakistan. The duo took the attack to the bowlers and played some blistering strokes all over the park. Pakistan bowlers were under pressure as Rohit and Gill slammed 121 runs for the opening partnership. However, they both lost their wickets in successive overs after that. Virat Kohli (8 not out:16b) and KL Rahul (17:28b, 2x4) then took the charge and added an unbeaten 24 runs, before rain forced umpires to call off the day.
